The diagnosis is also more precise now. The Major classifications are as follows.
Rheumatoid Arthritis is the most common inflammatory arthritis.
The smaller joints are affected first and the disease gradually extends onto the bigger joints.
These are usually constitutional disturbances in the form of fever, increase in pulse rate etc.
The skin is dry, coarse and thick with diminished surface temperature.
The nails are brittle and there is marled muscular wasting.

The onset of this condition is insidious and usually, one joint is involved. This type of arthritis is most common in children.
Acute Pyogenic Arthritis
The condition is accompanied by a high fever and joint pains. Usually, only one Joint is involved
